In 1991, VerCon was founded in Linz, Upper Austria. During the first years, most of Vercon's clients were local companies and private persons. By and by, business activities grew, risk management was implemented and a specialisation on the field of third party liability with a focus on clients of the industrial field took place. Furthermore, it was possible to acquire international clients. Thus, VerCon established international insurance expertise being one of their main specialties today. Along with this specialisation, VerCon's offices in Vienna and Berlin were founded.

In 2020, VerCon started a new line, Fine Arts Insurance Brokerage, with one of the most reknown experts in this field, Dr. Petra Eibel, VerCon's Managing Director. Vercon's customers in this line are international galleries, museums and private collectors. 

Furthermore, VerCon opened a new office in Graz in 2022 to suppor their clients in the South of Austria.

Nowadays, VerCon’s clients are Austrian companies having international business. Their specialty is the support of total customers. VerCon is conscious of the fact that their philosophy can only work out with the help of their excellent relationships with the biggest Austrian Insurance Companies and their international partners.
