Palatina Versicherungsservice GmbH was established in 1974 in Frankenthal (Rhineland-Palatinate/Germany) by the KSB Group and is specialized on global insurance programs for corporations operating worldwide.

For more than 40 years, Palatina has been an outsourced insurance department of KSB and is handling the group’s insurances as an established broker in diverse lines of business such as property and business interruption insurances, technical insurances, liability insurances and marine cargo coverage. KSB SE & Co. KGaA , founded in the year 1871, is one of the global leaders in the production of pumps and valves with sales and service offices/representatives and production sites in more than 100 countries. Palatina manages all insurance services as a KSB broker in risk analysis, contractual negotiations, submissions, implementation of cover concepts and loss handling. Palatina takes care of all local (German) group companies as well as for the insurance programs of the KSB-group globally.

Since 2011 Palatina has also been an insurance provider of the Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg); a 160-years-old company and current global leader in the printing machine industry which operates in more than 170 countries.

In addition, Palatina also provides insurance services to an increasing number of medium-sized businesses, start-up companies and private clients; all stemming from different backgrounds.

Palatina’s CEO Gerhard Bugla studied law and has an extensive 35 years-experience in large global corporations of all kinds of business branches. From 1998 to 2011, he led the corporate insurance service of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG.

Palatina’s technical knowledge has specialized in the industrial insurances for decades. Its field of expertise comprises all matters of insurance including, but not exhaustively, negotiating and implementing adequate insurance covers, project monitoring, and losses assistance.
