Call for Applications: UNIBA Partners Online Insurtech Pitching Competition 2025

The insurance industry is transforming rapidly, and InsurTech startups are at the forefront of this evolution. UNIBA Partners, a global network of independent insurance brokers, is committed to fostering innovation by providing a platform for startups to showcase their solutions.

Building on the success of last year’s competition, in which startups addressed challenges like climate risk, AI-driven underwriting, and claims automation, we are pleased to announce the return of the UNIBA Partners Insurtech Pitching Competition, taking place online on the 16th of September at 3:00 PM CET.

This event provides startups the opportunity to showcase their solutions, connect with a global network of brokers, and potentially establish collaboration opportunities with our Partners.

Why apply?

  • Global Exposure:  Pitch your solution to a curated audience of 80 independent broker firms active in 130+ countries.
     
  • Real Business Potential: Gain access to decision-makers, discover opportunities for pilot projects, and explore new markets. 
     
  • Join Us At Our 2026 conferences: The winner of the session will be invited to one of our 2026 conferences in either Europe, APAC or the Americas.
     
  • Proven Track Record:  Previous participant Astroteq.ai (Poland) is now working with our Brazilian Partner, Korsa,  while SuccessIT (Singapore) established a collaboration with our Thai Partner InsurExcellence after attending our in-person Insurtech pitching in Singapore.

Who can apply?

We welcome applications from startups around the globe, whether you're reinventing traditional insurance models or refining current processes. Eligible applicants should be pre-Series B (i.e. (pre)seed and Series A are accepted), and focused on Insurtech or Fintech innovations.

We're especially keen to hear from startups working on Embedded insurance and innovative Nat Cat products & services.

How It Works

  • Startups selected to participate will deliver a 5-minute pitch, followed by a 3-minute Q&A.

  • The session will be held online. A Teams link will be shared with selected participants.

Competition Timeline

  • 22 August – Application deadline

  • 29 August – Feedback and confirmation

  • 16 September, 3:00 PM CET – Live online pitch session
