Juan Carlos was elected board director for the Americas in October 2025, after a previous stint on the Board as board director Latin America.
Juan Carlos' academic background is in industrial engineering; the perfect basis for working in the insurance sector. His career began as an underwriter of international programs for Mexico's largest domestic insurance company. From there he moved to a multinational insurance broker working on international clients and business development.
Juan Carlos is also a member of the board of two foundations: MEXFAM (IPPF - International Planned Parenthood Federation) and Fundacion Tarahumara, which revolves around creating educational projects in secluded indigenous lands.
In 2001, Juan Carlos founded his own broking firm, EIKOS, specializing in P&C, EB and surety bonds. Over the years EIKOS has gained substantial experience in OEMs, financial institutions, car fleets, and innovative retail solutions.
