Potter Broker Kft. is an independent, founder-owned insurance brokerage based in Budapest, Hungary. The company was originally established in 1993. In 1996, Áron Hegymegi and Zsolt Rózsahegyi took over the firm and have been managing it ever since. In 2026, they mark 30 years of continuous leadership of the company.

The company operates from one office in Budapest and employs a team of eight professionals.

Our primary focus is corporate insurance. We work predominantly with Hungarian subsidiaries of international companies, in terms of size mid-sized to large enterprises. Our typical clients employ between 50 and 2000 people across various industries. We support clients in Property & Casualty, Employee Benefits and Motor insurance. In addition, we handle specialized lines such as credit insurance, marine and cyber risks when required.

Our team combines multidisciplinary expertise, including engineering, law, IT and economics. We cooperate with a dedicated risk engineer in order to support complex risk assessments where necessary. We conduct business in Hungarian, English and German.

Members of our management have over 30 years of experience in the insurance sector. Several colleagues have been with the firm for more than 20 years, contributing to operational continuity, institutional knowledge and long-standing relationships with insurers and international partners.

On a personal note...

Áron is the father of four children and runs a small restaurant as a personal project alongside his professional activities.

Zsolt has two children and a granddaughter, all living in Austria. In addition to his brokerage work, he is also a practicing lawyer and holds a postgraduate diploma as a certified insurance law specialist (insurance lawyer). He enjoys playing bluff dice games in his free time.

Edina supports stray cats in her spare time. Eszter is currently partly on maternity leave with her first child. Zita has three grown-up children. Laci is the father of a young son. Gábor enjoys reading and doing sports. Béla, our risk engineer, is officially retired but continues to work with us due to his long-standing professional interest in the insurance sector.
