The role
As marketing manager, you will take ownership of how we present ourselves: to our Partners, to the insurance market, potential future members, and sponsors. You will work closely with the CEO and the UNIBA team and our Partner brokers, all while managing external service providers to deliver high-quality, consistent output.
This role is less about creating everything yourself and more about ensuring the right things are created together with our service providers.
Alongside day-to-day communication, you will play a key role in shaping and executing longer-term projects, including UNIBA’s 40-year anniversary publication in 2027.
Reports to: CEO
Communication & Content
- Plan and deliver communication aligned with UNIBA’s strategy and positioning
- Create and manage content across formats (articles, interviews, video, publications)
- Ensure consistency and quality across all communication channels
- Manage and continuously improve our website as a core communication tool
- Take ownership of our LinkedIn presence and develop it into a meaningful channel
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
- Manage relationships with external providers (design, video, copywriting)
- Brief clearly, ensure quality delivery, and keep projects moving
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across different countries and cultures
Event Communication
- Lead communication around our global conferences and smaller events
- Coordinate event websites, apps, and participant communication
- Support sponsor and speaker communication to ensure a smooth experience
- Contribute to the overall positioning and impact of each event
Strategic Projects
- Contribute to the evolution of UNIBA’s communication strategy
- Play a key role in delivering our 40-year anniversary publication
- Help strengthen how we communicate our value to Partners, prospects, and sponsors
What do we expect from you?
Success in this role means bringing consistency and structure to how UNIBA communicates, ensuring smooth collaboration with service providers and reliable, high-quality output.You are not expected to be a graphic designer, copywriter and social manager all in one. While strong writing skills are important, a key part of this role is coordinating and managing external service providers (design, video, copywriting), ensuring quality, consistency, and timely delivery.
Our LinkedIn and website should become clear, up-to-date, and thoughtfully managed channels, with a steady flow of relevant content. Beyond execution, success is also about contributing ideas, helping shape our communication, and focusing on what truly matters rather than trying to do everything at once.
You will work with senior management and operational staff from companies across the world. Surely you like people and are a good communicator? That skill will be very helpful in this role.
Our office language is 100% English and your words will matter, full proficiency in written and spoken English language is vital.
Common sense, diplomacy, and a good sense of humour are important.
