Every month new and exciting things happen within the UNIBA-universe. Although we’d like to see all of you engaged in the regional calls and Centers of Excellence, we do understand that this is not always feasible. In comes ‘Minding the minutes’, UNIBA’s monthly internal meeting recap!

LatAm regional call – July & August

LatAm's monthly regional calls are back in action since this summer. With loads to discuss, July started with a general catch-up and was concluded with a presentation from Munich Re on their Smart Home & Cyber Insurance products for the Spanish and Portuguese-speaking market. In August we discussed local Cyber solutions for the LatAm market, while we also got a sneak-peak at the UNIBA LatAm website.

On Tuesday 5 September at 16.00 (CET)  ZRS’s Head of Brazil, Andressa Meirelles, and Estaban Alejandro Alonso, Head of Customer, Distribution and Market Management for Commercial Insurance in LatAm will present.

IDM Center of Excellence – July

Fresh of London’s IDM meeting, the IDM Center of Excellence could only start with one thing. After discussing the findings and feedback on London, we moved on with a follow-up presentation from Beazley showing their Cyber quotations portal. Afterwards one of our new members, Nordic, Hans Kapp from Nordic Broker, got the opportunity to present their company to the group.

In September’s call, taking place on Thursday 7 September at 10.00 (CET) we will receive a refresher from our partner AXCO on how to make the most out of our subscription. In addition, we will be presenting another new member, this time Australia’s Barrack Broking.

Africa & Middle East regional call – July

Our Africa & Middle East call kicked off with a short recap of our regional in-person meeting in Nairobi, Kenya as well as our IDM meeting in London. Because August’ edition was cancelled, we will have a packed September-call onTuesday 12 September at 10.00 (CET). During this call Peter Olyott will present on the African Free Continental Trade Agreement (AfCTA) and how UNIBA can anticipate on this.

AsiaPac regional call – July & August

Similar to the Africa & Middle East call, AsiaPac July’s call started with a recap of the IDM London meeting, as well as discussions on our upcoming Worldwide Conference in Bangkok. In August Steve Manning from LMI group presented Continuity coach, an innovative planning tool that offers a simple, step-by-step process to tailor a personalized crisis and recovery plan.

On Wednesday 13 September at 07.30 (CET) we will be joined by ZRS for a presentation on their cyber prevention.

Trade Credit Center of Excellence – July

No Trade Credit Center of Excellence took place over the course of July & August, but not to worry, because September is looking exciting!  Taking place on Friday 15 September at 10.30 (CET), we will be joined by Joe Perry from Sutton Winson, who will share his experience and knowledge of joint-initiatives across the network, including partnerships with cross-border Chambers of Commerce.

Marketing Center of Excellence – July

July’s edition of the Marketing Center of Excellence offered a presentation by Will Chidlow, who has been UNIBA’s videographer and photographer for the past few years. Here he discussed tips and tricks to record the perfect professional  video with tools that everyone has to their disposal.

In September’s edition, taking place on 28 September at 10.00 (CET), we will welcome our very own Ben Nicol, who will give a presentation on Sutton Winson’s rebranding journey.
