The Roederer firm was founded in 1893 by Geoffroy Roederer’s great-grandfather. Today under its fourth generation of family leadership, it serves a client base of 10 000 companies. They are typically companies with up to 10 000 employees, many of which are medium-sized. Since 2020, Geoffroy's sons, Pierre-Louis and and Etienne have joined the family business adventure.

With headquarters in Strasbourg and subsidiaries in Metz, Nancy, Paris, Schiltigheim and Sélestat, the firm ranks 13th among French brokers with 340 employees and was the first in Eastern France to obtain ISO 9001 service quality certification. 

Roederer is a general broker in France with special expertise in P&C like construction insurances (10-years liability cover / Dommage-Ouvrage or CAR insurances, insurance for property trustees), technical risks, employee benefits (health, disability and retirement). Roederer has its own risk prevention department.

According to the French regulation, Roederer is allowed to manage premiums and claims (P&C and EB) which is a huge advantage to supervise customers’ satisfaction.

Its personal lines division is limited to the needs of its corporate clients and has expertise in home-owners and automotive coverage. 

Approximately 66 percent of its business involves employee benefits. In addition to industrial clients (wood industry, food businesses, autoparts makers and construction industry), its clients include municipal entities, firms in logistics, tourism, sport and medical laboratories. Many of its national clients have factories in other regions of France.

Roederer is active on the international market for more than 25 years with a dedicated team of four persons (import/export).

In addition to his responsibilities as owner and CEO of his firm, Geoffroy Roederer is President of the Syndicate of Insurance Brokers in Eastern France (Planète CSCA-Grand Est). Another part of the Roederer family founded Roederer Champagne.
