Roederer

The Roederer firm was founded in 1893 by Geoffroy Roederer’s great-grandfather. Today under its fourth generation of family leadership, it serves a client base of 3,500 companies. They are typically companies with up to 4,500 employees, many of which are medium-sized international subsidiaries.

With headquarters in Strasbourg and subsidiaries in Metz, Nancy and Paris, the firm provides brokerage services for all of Eastern France. It ranks 35th among French brokers and was the first in Eastern France to obtain ISO 9002 service quality certification. The certification process entailed a three-year period of defining service quality based on the needs of Roederer customers. Only 15 brokers in France are currently certified.

Roederer offers business insurance with special expertise in property/casualty and directors and officers liability, employee benefits and claims management. It also works with associations such as the French Federation of Printers in Eastern France. Its personal lines division has expertise in home-owners and automobile coverages.

Roederer is one of the largest brokers in its area and is ranked 13th in employee benefits. Approximately 75 percent of its business involves life insurance, financial planning, retirement products, and other employee benefits. In addition to municipal entities, its clients include firms in the wood industry, food businesses, chemical companies, plastic manufacturers, and auto parts makers. Many of its national clients have factories in other regions of France.

In addition to his responsibilities as owner and managing director of his firm, Geoffroy Roederer is President of the Syndicate of Insurance Brokers in Eastern France (SYCA-Est). The Roederer name is well known in France, as five centuries ago members of the Roederer family founded Roederer Champagne.
