Corbroker SA

Corbroker was established in 1998 by a small team of experienced brokers. It now provides services to about 1200 clients out of its Lisbon, Porto, Covilhã and Azores offices and is now amongst the top ten ranked brokers in Portugal.

Corbroker staff has extensive experience with large international corporate clients and all types of industry. The company provides risk management services and in-house specialists offer property loss control services, claims reviews, and health management programs. It specializes in property, cargo hauliers, construction, and workers’ compensation coverages. It also has expertise with alternative risk financing, self-insurance, captive management and warranty products. Its in-house expertise allows it to establish special funds in Gibralter for captive insurance. Corbroker also founded a Health Management Group with full claims handling authority from insurers to reimburse clients directly for health insurance medical expenses.

Corbroker holds an interest in broker Alcada Batista & Company, Ltd. In addition, it has undertaken a joint venture with Sporting Club of Portugal in Sporting Seguros SA, and a partnership in Confimed, Lda, and Vis a Vis, Lda.

Fernando Belchior is CEO of Corbroker. He is also the executive director of Group Villas Boas SA, the largest independent broker network in Portugal, executive director of Sporting Seguros SA: and a board member of the Portuguese Association of Risk Managers (Apogeris).
