Baekmark & Kvist was established in 1984 and is today one of the largest brokers in Denmark and the largest independent Danish-owned brokerage company. The company is headquartered in the beautiful old city of Aalborg.

The industrial client mix includes plastics, construction, iron-makers, chemicals and shipping.

Municipality/public entities related business represents approximately 35 percent of Baekmark & Kvist’s business giving Marsh and Willis, its competitors in this market, a real run for their money.

A separate, wholly owned company provides life and pension services for businesses. In Denmark, pension services are a relatively new line of business with strong growth due to the increase in an aging population that will need personal pensions in the next 10 to 15 years.
