2008 Most Innovative Insurer Finally Receives Award

The Most Innovative Insurer award is based on two distinct sections of a survey which, together, make up the ratings for this award.

The first section looks at product innovation and the second section looks at a carrier's overall attitude to problem solving. The field of those who score well in both categories is typically quite small, in 2008 only three insurers did well in both sections simultaneously. AIG already won this award in 2005 and, in 2006, won the Best International Insurer award, which goes to the carrier with the best results across all categories.

Other 2008 winners were Allianz (Best International Insurer) and HDI Gerling (Best Risk Engineering).
