Yuriy Kharazian - Asia

Yuriy has been working on the board since 2005. His responsibility has always been our Asian area development, a part of the world which Yuriy knows and in which he continues to travel extensively.

Yuriy is the Deputy General Director of Malakut in Moscow, Russia. As with many brokers, his original training was in a different field. Yuriy graduated from Moscow’s Aviation & Technological Institute with a degree as an aircraft engineer and went on to follow additional studies at the Technological University of Vienna in Austria. His career in insurance began as a key account manager with the major Russian insurer Ingosstrakh. He eventually moved to AIG (now Chartis) where he became responsible for corporate clients.

In 2002 Yuriy joined Malakut Insurance Brokers, originally as the head of the International Business Direction. In 2007 Yuriy was appointed to his current position of Deputy General Director.

Yuriy is fluent in Russian, English and German. He enjoys travelling, both professional and private, and has become fond of Vietnam where Malakut established an office.
