Robert Havekotte - Know-How & Processes

Robert joined the board in 2008 to take responsibility for know-how and processes. This area is closely linked to quality but focuses on the specific underpinnings like accessing, developing and transferring know-how and extends to the systems that make this efficient. A former Olympic water polo player, Robert is today one of the three Managing Partners of Van Luin Assurantiën in the Netherlands. Van Luin Assurantiën is a founding member of UNIBA Partners. The company’s founder, Bert Van Luin, already served on what was then IBA’s board until 1999.

Van Luin Assurantiën is also where Robert’s insurance career began in 1992, fresh out of university. Four years later, in 1996 Robert became a Managing Partner in Van Luin. Robert believes that being multi-lingual (Dutch, English, German and French) is a big help in understanding international clients and attuning to different ways of doing business in other countries.

Robert lives close to Utrecht together with his wife and their two children. Apart from spending time with his family, Robert loves to travel and is still a huge sports fan.
