John Wright became UNiBA Partners’ President in October 2011, taking over from Jacques Goldenberg. John is also our board director responsible for North American development, a position which he has held since joining the board in 2009.
John joined Johnson, Kendall & Johnson, Inc. in 1978 with a background in sales and marketing research. He graduated with a BA in Economics, with a specialty in Accounting, from Gettysburg College. John became a Principal of the firm in 1993. He has also been a Principal of Johnson, Kendall & Johnson Benefits, Inc. since 1998. His responsibilities include the role of President for Johnson, Kendall & Johnson, Inc., Johnson, Kendall & Johnson Benefits, Inc. and JKJ & H International.
He received the designation of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter in 1981. John completed the Advanced Management Program at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University in 1992. He has completed the Certified Insurance Councilor program in 1998.
John has acted as a lead consultant for Fortune 500 Corporations and multinational companies involving risk management and feasibility studies for alternative funding programs. He has implemented group and association programs for nontraditional concepts and has formed agency owned captive efforts domiciled in Bermuda. He currently is a shareholder and board member of captive insurers ranging in structure from group captives to “cell account” captive insurers.
John is married with three children and is very active in volunteering and service initiatives for non-profit charities in the United States.
