Jacques Goldenberg - President & Latin America

Jacques joined what was then IBA’s board of directors in 2004. In 2006 he succeeded Kevin MacEvoy as chairman of the board. In 2009, Jacques was appointed President of UNiBA Partners. Jacques' responsibilities on the board also include our development in Latin America.

Jacques is a very well-known and highly respected personality in the Brazilian insurance and re-insurance market. He is a recognized expert in mining risks and considered to be one of the few insurance brokers in Brazil with complete knowledge of practically all business lines. He has been a broker for corporate clients all of his working life, and ran and grew his own firm for most of it. In 2004 he merged his firm INTEGRIDADE with the Brazilian broker Lazam MDS, who, like INTEGRIDADE, was looking for ways to tackle new challenges in the highly competitive Brazilian market.

Being multilingual (Portuguese, French, English, Spanish) and having a broad range of interests (Jacques holds degrees in such varied fields as management, auditing, electro-mechanical techniques, transactional analysis, medical analysis) have helped him tremendously in his professional life, Jacques says.

Jacques is also a director of the Sao Paulo Insurance Brokers Trade Association.

Jacques lives in Sao Paulo and tries to spend as much time as his responsibilities allow with his children and grandchildren.
